What is Coaching?
Coaching is a type of service that occurs between a Coach and a Coachee(client). As a service, it is intended to support the latter in developing the desired skills and abilities that will lead them to an improved quality of life.
There are several different types of coaching in this day and age, each of which serves a distinct purpose for personal or professional development. Among these types of coaching you can find: life coaching, executive coaching, relationship coaching and many much more.

What to expect from Coaching?

In a Coaching relationship both the Coach and Coachee (client) will co-create a path forward. The recurrence with the Coach will lead to the formation and completion of intentional actions and goals.
After every Coaching session, homework will be determined by both parties and will be a useful tool in training new skills to become more natural and habitual.
What is not Coaching?
It is also important to define Coaching by what it is NOT.
Coaching as helpful as it can be, is NEVER a replacement to: therapy, psychiatric intervention or meant to be the main healing process for addiction.
Coaching is mainly about learning, not healing.
That said, you can also benefit from Coaching while being in therapy or recovery.
